Business to Business Services

Goodwill Industries offers a variety of Business to Business services including:

Confidential Document Destruction
Shredding documents at the shredding machine.Goodwill provides shredding of your confidential documents in our camera monitored secure facility as needed or on a contract basis. This service is completely reliable and can be trusted to destroy your outdated confidential materials.

Our dedicated facility is secured and monitored by camera surveillance. All monitoring data is maintained for seven days. No un-escorted access to the area is allowed. The building is further secured by an audible, monitored alarm system when the building is unoccupied. All employees wear ID badges.

All media is destroyed within two weeks of acceptance and at the request of the client a Certificate of Destruction is completed and forwarded to the client. All documents are shredded to the industry standard size of no wider than 5/8" and the paper is recycled. We guarantee that material delivered to this facility is properly secured while awaiting destruction.

Goodwill also accepts corrugated cardboard, junk mail and newspapers. All are recycled and kept out of the waste stream. Goodwill's employees are completely reliable and can be trusted with destroying your outdated, confidential materials. All documents are shredded and the paper is recycled.

eCycling

Shopping cart full of computer parts and components.eCycle is a free electronic drop-off program for recycling and hard-drive cleansing of unwanted computers. When electronics are not disposed of or recycled properly, toxic materials from component parts can present serious environmental problems. Therefore, electronic recycling is gradually becoming mandatory in some countries and a few states in the US. While no such law currently exists in West Virginia, eCycle provides a responsible way to recycle computer equipment that will take the dangerous materials contained in them out of our landfills.

Goodwill accepts all non-working or outdated computers and components, printers, scanners or fax machines and cell phones at each of its retail stores and donation centers or at the Industrial Contracts Center at 525 19th Street West, Huntington. Donors do not need to worry about leaving personal information behind, either.

At the camera-monitored, secure facility, trained workers sort and evaluate the donated equipment. Computers that meet minimum standards will be refurbished if possible - with the hard drives wiped clean - and then resold in a Goodwill retail store. If it cannot be refurbished, workers will clean the computer’s hard-drive, de-manufacture the equipment, sort the component parts, and prepare them for recycling. Each donor may request a certificate verifying that the donated hard-drive has been cleaned to the Department of Defense wiping standards to remove all sensitive or personal material.

For customers who simply want a clean computer slate, Goodwill will clean computer hard-drives at $10 per computer. We can also wipe personal information from removable media: external hard drives, USB thumb drives, memory sticks/cards, zip drives, and diskettes. Email (304/429-3261) to discuss quotes for on-site equipment pick-up.

An assembly worker hard at work. Facility Based Services
Goodwill Industries provides facility based piece-work services. Goodwill's workforce is trained to do the job "your way"' at affordable rates.
