The Hospitality
Skills Training (HOST) Program is designed
to serve the needs of the largest growth industry in West
Virginia and beyond.
This 14 week course will include an overview
of hospitality and customer service and the lucrative career
ladder that exists in this industry. The course offers the
American Hotel and Lodging Association's certifications
in both the food and beverage aspect and the lodging side
of travel and tourism. Enrollees will also take the ServSafe
Course and successful candidates will receive their food
handler's license.
As part of this course, students will
receive five weeks of practical on-the-job experience as
well as classroom training. Following 90 days continuous
employment, certifications issued by AH&LA will be your
ticket to a career in a very exciting industry.
