CCCS is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and is accredited by the Counsel on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA). The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), founded in 1951, is the nation’s largest and longest serving national nonprofit credit counseling organization with over 1450 member credit agencies. Its mission is to promote the national agenda for financially responsible behavior and build capacity for its members to deliver the highest quality financial education and counseling services. NFCC provides guidelines and direction for all its members including Mandatory Agency Accreditation through COA and all counselors are certified. COA is an international,
not-for-profit, standard-setting accrediting body that has accredited or is in
the process of accrediting 3000 social service programs delivered by over 800
providers in the US and Canada.
Therefore, consumers can have confidence that CCCS adheres to COA’s strict
accrediting standards, has established stringent measurement and reporting
requirements, and has demonstrated accountability in resource management. |
