
This program empowers individuals to accomplish their personal goals towards self-sufficiency. The service population for this program encompasses adults with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions, such as low-level readers, and those with no or little work history. Our Life Skills assessment and interview process will enable staff to empower the client with the information they need to choose a vocational target, with employment being the ultimate goal. The time frame of the program will depend on the individual’s progress towards established goals. This program addresses the following components: Money Management, Food Management, Personal Appearance, Health, Housekeeping, Transportation, Educational Planning, Job Seeking Skills, Job Maintenance, Emergency and Safety, Community Resources, Interpersonal Skills, Legal Skills, Religion (optional) Leisure Activities, and Housing.
