This program focuses on creating a customer
service culture while utilizing Goodwill's retail stores
to combine a classroom component with on-the-job training.
The 12 week course covers all aspects of retail sales including
merchandising, security and shrinkage, stocking inventory,
employee relations, communication skills and safety.
Additional
skills are gained during the 2 week on-site internship.
Hands-on training includes actual register experience, making
change correctly, procedures for opening and closing, completing
reports and bank deposits, display techniques and staff
scheduling.
A strong emphasis is placed on customer
expectations, handling difficult customers and ways to insure
repeat business.
