At Goodwill retail stores, bargain
hunters can shop for good quality new and used merchandise
and in turn, know that their purchases help provide job training
and employment for persons with disabilities and other barriers
to employment. In 2007, over 5.2 million pounds of donated
goods were processed by Goodwill Industries' employees and
placed for sale in our stores. The $3.4 million in revenue
from store sales was used to help fund our counseling, education,
training and employment service programs.
Goodwill
stores are conveniently located throughout the Tri-State region,
including Williamson, WV and Pikeville, KY. To find a store
near you, click on the sign above. While all stores are open
7 days a week, you can also shop 24/7 at shopgoodwill.com
, the national Goodwill on-line auction web-site. Since its
launch in 1999, shopgoodwill.com
has grown at an average annual rate of 154 percent, earning
more than $15 million nationwide for Goodwill programs. Some
6,000 items are for sale at any given time, culled from the
1 billion pounds of donated goods the member organizations
collect each year. Like revenue from its stores, revenue from
shopgoodwill.com
helps fund job training and career services for people with
disabilities, welfare recipients, dislocated workers and other
job seekers.
If you are a regular Goodwill shopper,
