Last year, with your help, Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area, Inc., recycled more than 1,527 tons of salvage goods, keeping nearly 2.6 million pounds of materials out of area landfills. That in addition to 509 tons of mixed paper, 411 tons of cardboard and 41 tons of metal.
Our recycling facility, housed in our Industrial Contracts Center located at 1005 Virginia Ave., Huntington, provides a convenient way to recycle for Tri-State residents, whether it’s old documents or cardboard and we provide document shredding service. Our staff is on-hand to receive your donations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., five days a week.
We also offer convenient, free e-recycling through a partnership with Dell Reconnect. Last year, we recycled 35 tons of your desktop computers, laptops and computer accessories. We are always accepting outdated or non-working computers and components, printers, scanners, fax/printer combo units and cell phones.
Goodwill’s school recycling program allows us to partner with over 30 schools across two counties. Through that comprehensive program, we recycled more than 238 tons of paper products this past school year.
